Our Billing & Bulk Billing Policy Drummoyne Surgery & Skin Cancer Clinic is predominately a mixed billing practice. All consultations regarding skin cancer checks and circumcision inquiries are bulk billed. There may be a fee payable when treatments are required with exception of cryotherapy which is bulk billed. Bulk billing is also available for pensioners and Centrelink health care card holders for treatment of diagnosed skin cancer except Mohs Micrographic Surgery. No referral is necessary. In general all surgical procedures and treatments are charged at either the rates set out in the Australian Medical Association List of Medical Services and Fees or agreed fees. These charges will attract a Medicare rebate and contribute to Medicare Safety Net. Payment can be made by cash, eftpos or credit card (credit cards such as Visa or Master attract 1% surcharge and 2% for American express). Some treatments and services are not claimable on Medicare such as photodynamic therapy and total body photography. Please note that unlike many other skin cancer clinics in Sydney, we offer 24 hours, 7 days a week post operative medical care which is included in the cost of surgical treatment. If any of our patients require care after-hours, post surgery, no additional charges are incurred. Deposit & Cancellation Policy A deposit will be required at the time of booking for treatments or surgeries of 30 minutes or longer. The amount payable will be dependent upon the total fee and the length of time required. Please be aware of the following rules relating to cancellation and refunding of the deposit: In the event of a cancellation or no show- 48 hrs notice - 50% of the deposit will be charged 24 hrs notice - 75% of the deposit will be charged Less than 24hrs notice or no show - the entire deposit may be forfeited. Please note that notice is based on business days Medicare Safety Net Medicare Safety Net provides additional help for families and individuals with out-of-pocket costs when they receive medical services provided by doctors outside of hospital. This financial assistance is payable in addition to the benefit set in the Medicare Benefit Schedule Services list.
