About Prof Andrew Li 
 
 
Prof Andrew Li is a Sydney based Dermatological Surgeon and a Professor of Surgery at Hainan Medical College in Southern China where he travels to regularly for teaching of doctors and medical students. He is also a Neurosurgeon trained in China. In the last 10 years he has been working in the area of skin cancer medicine in both Queensland and New South Wales. He has a Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine and is a member of both the Australasian College of Skin Cancer Medicine and the Skin Cancer College of Australia & New Zealand.
 
After arriving in Australia in 1988 he was initially involved in Neuroscience research at the University of Sydney for over 2 years. He then went through the comprehensive medical licensing examinations through the Australian Medical Council and successfully passed all components of the licensing requirements and was awarded his Australian Medical Council Certificate in 1996. He then worked in a variety of major teaching hospitals for 5 years such as Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney Children's Hospital and St George Hospital.
In 2001 he joined the training program for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. During this time he spent 2 years in North Queensland where he treated hundreds of patients with skin cancer and gained extensive experience in this area.  He successfully completed all requirements of the college and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2004. Subsequently he opened his own skin cancer clinic in Lane Cove known as Longueville Road Medical Centre & Skin Cancer Clinic in 2005 where he spent almost 5 years and treated thousands of patients with skin cancer. 
 
Dr Li has also pursued further studies specific to Skin Cancer Medicine.  He has successfully completed all requirements of the Australasian College of Skin Cancer Medicine and has been awarded a Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine. He now runs a highly specialized surgical and skin cancer clinic in Drummoyne, Sydney.  His main interests are skin cancer (including both melanoma and non melanoma) prevention,  diagnosis and treatment, highly specialized treatment techniques such as Mohs Micrographic Surgery and photodynamic therapy, body surface tumours, lumps, bumps and cysts removal, male circumcision.
